Canadian Dental Care Plan Excercise, Thompson from 13th -16th January, 2026

From January 13–16, 2026, our team proudly supported residents across Churchill–Keewatinook Aski with in-person registration for the Canadian Dental Care Plan. We know that access to affordable oral health care is essential, particularly in northern and remote communities, so we made it a priority to meet people where they are.

During these outreach days, we worked directly with individuals and families to walk them through eligibility requirements, complete online applications, upload required documentation, and answer questions about coverage. A key part of this effort included visiting seniors at Lions Manor 55 in Thompson, where we provided one-on-one assistance to ensure residents who may face mobility or technology barriers were not left behind.

For many, navigating federal programs can feel overwhelming. Our role was to simplify the process, confirming that applicants met the criteria, including having no access to private dental insurance and an adjusted family net income under $90,000, and ensuring their applications were properly submitted.

We remain committed to ensuring that residents of Churchill–Keewatinook Aski can access the services they are entitled to. If you were unable to attend in person, applications remain available online at Canada.ca/dental or through your nearest Service Canada Centre, and our office continues to provide support to those who need assistance.
