On behalf of our office, I am pleased to invite you and your leadership to a Virtual Town Hall on the Port of Churchill Plus Project, in collaboration with the government of Manitoba. The session will take place Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM (Central Time).
This engagement is part of an ongoing series to ensure First Nations, rights-holders, and impacted communities across Northern Manitoba have a meaningful, direct voice in shaping the Churchill Port Plus project. We value your Nation’s knowledge, leadership, and lived experience, and we aim to center your perspective in our discussions.
Purpose and Scope
- Share updates, increase transparency, and host an interactive Q&A.
- Gather input to guide ongoing engagement with government partners and project proponents, and to inform advocacy on behalf of communities and rights-holders.
- Broaden and deepen participation to ensure all impacted voices are heard.
- Emphasize that this is part of a continuing process of meaningful engagement, not a one-off discussion.
