Every Child Matters — Thompson’s Memorial Drive with MKO

Churchill–Keewatinook Aski is a riding of 73 communities. Showing up means showing up everywhere.

While I walked in Winnipeg on September 30th, our constituency office was right where it needed to be — in Thompson — representing this office at MKO’s Every Child Matters Memorial Drive at the Thompson Train Station.

Our team joined Survivors, Elders, and community members for a morning of ceremony, remembrance, and solidarity — honouring the children who never came home and the families who have never stopped holding their memory.

September 30th belongs to every community in this riding. Not just the ones closest to a highway. Every community. Every child. Every family still waiting for healing.

Thank you to MKO, KTC, and to everyone who organised, supported, and attended the Thompson memorial. And thank you to every community member who showed up — because showing up is how we honour what was taken, and how we build what still needs to be built.
